Fuzzy Logic Technique and Response Surface Methodology to Predict the Material removal rate of Abrasive Water Jet Process (AWJM) Parameters on Inconel – 188

Fuzzy Logic Technique and Response Surface Methodology to Predict the Material removal rate of Abrasive Water Jet Process (AWJM) Parameters on Inconel – 188
Omar, Al Denali; Abdelaziz, Badi; Fathi, Alfazani
Abrasive waterjet machining (AWJM) is a non-traditional machining process that uses a high-pressure jet of water and abrasive particles to remove material from a workpiece. The AWJM process is complex and highly dynamic, making it difficult to predict and control the machining parameters. In this paper two models have been developed using Fuzzy Logic Technique (FL) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM) in order to predict material removal rate (MRR). The Mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) statistical criteria were 2.8% and 2.40% for the FL and RSM, respectively. As a result, using fuzzy logic to anticipate the MRR of the AWJM process is recommended.

A Study to Investigate Software Failure Factors in Libyan Organizations

A Study to Investigate Software Failure Factors in Libyan Organizations
Abdelhakim, F. Rashid; Mohamed, A. Hagal; F. M., Naser El-Firjani
Software has become very important in everyday life. It is used in almost every field. Even in local society, the dependency level on software has also increased. Whenever there is a software failure, it might have severe consequences on society and individuals alike. Failure does not only affect the client but also the company that is responsible for the development. This study aims to explore the issues that face users and investigate the factors that cause software to fail. A questionnaire was built to derive the issues that users face and distributed using an online Google form across twelve organizations in Benghazi, Libya. In addition, ten interviews were conducted with twenty developers to identify the factors that cause failure. The most common factors among interviewees were identified, including unrealistic schedules and budgets, a lack of user involvement, and incomplete requirements. Finally some recommendations were provided to help engineers and development companies overcome those issues and reduce the failure.

Business Management Process - BMP
Staff, BMP
This workshop aims to introduce the University Operations Management project and its objectives, as well as familiarize participants with the fundamental concepts of business process management. It aims to create awareness among all university staff about the changes occurring within the university, specifically the transformation of the university management system into a business process management system and the digital transformation of the university.
