dc.description | Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disease of unknown
etiology.
• The diagnostic histopathologic feature is the
presence of non-caseating granulomas in various
tissues.
• Immunologic abnormalities include high levels of
CD4+ TH1 cells in the lung that secrete cytokines
such as IFN-γ.
• Clinical manifestations include lymph node
enlargement, eye involvement, skin lesions and
