In the presence of the Director of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions, Dr. Abdullah Abdul-Jalil Muhammad, the Acting President of the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU), Dr. Abdullah Al-Mansoori, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Salma Bukhatwa, members of the Drafting Committee of the National Project for Academic Standards, several LIMU Deans and several deans of pharmacy faculties from several Libyan universities, a workshop was organized by the Quality Assurance Center and Scientific Standards for Educational and Training Institutions, in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University in Benghazi, on the 14th of June 2022. The workshop was organized under the title: National Academic Standards for Pharmaceutical Education. The ambitious national project aims to build national academic reference standards.&#13;
At the beginning of this important event, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Salma Bukhatwa, who is a member of the Committee for the Preparation of Standards for Pharmaceutical Education and Training, welcomed the guests at LIMU and acknowledged their hardships of travel and transportation and their keenness to actively attend this scientific workshop, which establishes a national project aimed at formulating scientific standards in all fields of education. The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy praised what the National Project Committee had accomplished in record time. The workshop then started and was delivered according to the previously designed schedule. The activities of the workshop concluded in the evening after the completion of its target as an integral part of the national project, which aspires to build a system of coherent, well-established, and contemporary scientific standards, aware of the benefits of accelerated scientific and cognitive development. The workshop attendees have agreed that there should be pushing for the adoption of this project without delay because there is no alternative to it but further deterioration in the education system in all its stages in Libya.

The Acting President of the University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mansoori, received in his office, on the 14th of June 2022, the Director of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Standards in Educational and Training Institutions, Dr. Abdullah Abdul-Jalil Muhammad, and the Director of the National Project for the Formulation of Academic Standards Dr. Osama Al-Fazani, and Chairman of the Committee for the Preparation of Standards for Pharmacist Education and Training, Dr. Mustafa Al-Fakhri, and several Faculty of Pharmacy deans from several Libyan universities. Several officials from the Libyan International Medical University participated in the reception.&#13;
The Acting President welcomed the guests at the Libyan International Medical University which highly appreciates their choice of the University to host this important scientific event, wishing them a good stay among their families and colleagues in the city of Benghazi.&#13;
The University’s permanent keenness to strengthen the relationship with the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions was reassured. The members of the National Academic Reference Standards Drafting Committee were praised for the great effort made by them.

International Medical University hosts a workshop on National Academic Standards for Pharmaceutical Education&#13;

Within the framework of close cooperation between the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) and the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions, LIMU will host an expanded workshop on the 14th of June, with the participation of the deans of pharmacy faculties from several Libyan universities, and a number of specialists and those interested in pharmacy sciences and its fields. &#13;
The workshop will address the following:&#13;
-	National Academic Reference Standards (NARS) project.&#13;
-	General requirements for pharmacy education programs in Libya.&#13;
-	National academic standards for the Bachelor of Pharmacy.&#13;
During this scientific workshop, a proposal will be presented to establish a scientific association for the deans of pharmacy faculties in Libya.&#13;
Workshop participants:&#13;
-	Director of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions, Dr. Abdullah Abdul Jalil Muhammad.&#13;
-	Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Libyan International Medical University, Dr. Salma Bukhatwa. &#13;
